What we fix
Most residential AC failures fall into a small number of categories. We diagnose the issue on site, give you a written quote, and only proceed when you approve it.
- System runs but doesn't cool. Usually a dirty filter, frozen coil, low refrigerant, or a failed capacitor on the outdoor unit.
- System won't turn on. Tripped breaker, blown fuse, bad thermostat, failed contactor, or a safety switch tripped by a clogged condensate drain.
- System cycles on and off too quickly. Often an oversized system, a refrigerant charge issue, or a thermostat in the wrong location.
- Strange noises. Buzzing usually means electrical. Grinding usually means motor bearings. Rattling usually means loose hardware or a debris strike.
- Water leaking around the indoor unit. Almost always a clogged condensate drain or a failed pump. Easy to fix when caught early.
- Refrigerant leaks. Diagnosed with electronic leak detection or UV dye. Repair scope depends on where the leak is.
What a service call looks like
- You call. We ask what's happening, when it started, and what the system is doing now. Most calls book within the same week.
- On-site diagnosis. A technician arrives, runs the system, takes readings, and identifies the root cause.
- Written flat-rate quote. You see the proposed work in writing before any of it begins. If the repair is borderline against replacement, we tell you both options.
- We do the work. Most repairs are completed the same day. Major work (compressor replacement, refrigerant line repair) may require parts ordering.
Frequently asked questions
How fast can you come out?
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Most non-emergency repairs are scheduled within the same week. For urgent cooling issues during a heat wave, call early -same-day slots fill quickly.
Should I repair or replace?
If your unit is over 10 years old and the diagnosis points to a major component failure, replacement is often the better long-term call. We give you the repair quote and the replacement option side by side in writing.
Do you service mini-splits and heat pumps?
Yes. We service residential central air, ductless mini-split systems, and air-source heat pumps. As a Bryant authorized dealer we are factory-trained on Bryant's heat pump lineup.
Do you work on brands other than Bryant?
Yes. We repair and service most major brands of residential central air and mini-split equipment. Bryant is what we install new, but we have not turned away a repair over the equipment brand.
