Service

HVAC installation, sized for your home.

Eastern Heating installs Bryant HVAC systems across Chicopee, Springfield, Holyoke, and the surrounding towns. Sized by ACCA Manual J load calculation, installed by factory-trained technicians, and backed by Bryant's manufacturer warranty.

What we install

  • Gas furnaces. High-efficiency (95-98% AFUE) Bryant gas furnaces sized to your home's heat load.
  • Central air conditioning. Bryant split-system AC matched to your furnace's blower for proper airflow.
  • Heat pumps. Cold-climate Bryant heat pumps including dual-fuel configurations where gas backup makes sense.
  • Ductless mini-splits. Single-zone and multi-zone systems for additions, finished basements, or homes without ductwork.
  • Ductwork. Because we fabricate sheet metal in-house, ductwork modifications happen on our schedule, not a subcontractor's.

What it costs

Typical installation ranges in the Pioneer Valley as of May 2026:

  • Furnace-only replacement: $5,500 to $9,500
  • AC-only replacement (existing ducts): $5,000 to $8,500
  • Full system replacement (furnace + AC): $9,500 to $15,000
  • Heat pump system (cold-climate): $11,000 to $18,000 before Mass Save rebates
  • Single-zone ductless mini-split: $5,500 to $8,500
  • Ductwork modifications: priced separately based on scope

Final pricing depends on home square footage, equipment efficiency tier (Bryant Preferred, Evolution, etc.), and any ductwork condition issues uncovered in the assessment.

How sizing works

The single most common reason an HVAC system underperforms is bad sizing. Rule-of-thumb sizing by square footage ignores insulation, window placement, infiltration, and orientation -and almost always produces an oversized system that short-cycles in the cooling season and never reaches steady-state efficiency in the heating season.

We size every installation with an ACCA Manual J load calculation. That is the industry standard, and it is the difference between a system that runs quietly at part-load most of the day and one that blasts on and off all afternoon.

The Mass Save factor

Massachusetts offers significant heat pump rebates through the Mass Save program. Eligibility, rebate amounts, and program rules change regularly. We will tell you what the current rebate looks like for your specific equipment choice, but we recommend confirming the latest rules at masssave.com before any final decision.

Process

  1. On-site assessment. We measure the home, evaluate ductwork, and discuss your goals (fuel cost, comfort, rebate eligibility).
  2. Written quote. Options at different efficiency tiers, with the Mass Save rebate (if applicable) factored in.
  3. Installation. 1 to 5 days depending on scope. We protect floors, clean up daily, and handle equipment removal and disposal.
  4. Commissioning and walk-through. We confirm airflow and refrigerant charge, register your warranty with Bryant, and walk you through filter location and thermostat operation.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the install take?

A straight equipment swap on existing usable ductwork is 1 to 2 days. New ductwork, attic or crawlspace runs, or first-time installs extend that to 3 to 5 days.

Will my old ducts work with the new system?

Sometimes. New systems often need more or different airflow than the original system was sized for. We inspect ductwork during the assessment and flag changes in the quote.

Do you offer financing?

We work with several financing partners for system replacements. Terms depend on credit and the specific lender. We can discuss options during the quote.

What's the warranty?

Bryant covers equipment with manufacturer warranties up to 10 years on most parts when registered through an authorized dealer (which we are). Our installation labor is warrantied for 1 year as standard.
