Service

Furnace repair across the Pioneer Valley.

Eastern Heating services gas, oil, and electric residential furnaces across Chicopee, Springfield, Holyoke, and the surrounding towns. Most repairs scheduled within the same week. Written flat-rate quote before any work begins.

What we fix

Most residential furnace problems come down to a handful of failure modes. A diagnostic visit identifies which one, and the repair is usually completed the same day.

  • Furnace won't ignite. Usually a dirty flame sensor, failed igniter, gas valve issue, or a draft inducer that isn't proving correctly.
  • Furnace short cycles. Overheating from airflow restriction (often a dirty filter), bad flame sensor, or oversized equipment.
  • No heat, blower runs. Burners not lighting, control board issue, or thermostat wiring problem.
  • Loud or unusual noises. Booming on ignition usually means delayed gas ignition. Whining usually means motor bearings. Banging usually means duct expansion.
  • Pilot light won't stay lit. Older systems: thermocouple. Newer systems: flame sensor or hot-surface igniter.
  • Carbon monoxide alarms triggering. Stop using the system, ventilate, call us immediately. We will inspect the heat exchanger and combustion.

Safety first

Frequently asked questions

Should I repair or replace my furnace?

Furnaces over 15 years old with a repair quote over $1,000 are usually better replaced. A new high-efficiency furnace pays back the difference over a few winters in lower fuel bills. We give you both numbers.

What brands do you service?

All major residential brands. As a Bryant authorized dealer we are factory-trained on Bryant, but we have not turned away a repair over the equipment brand.

Do you do annual furnace tune-ups?

Yes. Annual maintenance is the single best way to prevent winter breakdowns. See our maintenance page for what is included.

What if my furnace dies on a weekend?

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. We do not currently offer 24/7 emergency dispatch. For weekend failures, leave a message and we will respond first thing Monday with the soonest available slot.
